It takes only 2 visits to get a dental crown permanently cemented in place. Our goal is to ensure your comfort and that you like the look and feel or the new crown. That’s why the first appointment is used to measure the space for the new crown by taking a mold of your mouth after we have removed any decay in the affected tooth. Before you leave this initial appointment, you’ll be given a temporary crown that allows normal speaking and chewing while you wait for the permanent one. The dental mold we take of your mouth will be sent to a dental laboratory where a master lab technician will make your crown with a custom shade match so it blends in with your natural teeth. At the follow-up appointment, the temporary crown is removed and the permanent crown is cemented down after evaluating it for fit and appearance.
